I’m having issues with my iPhone case. I’m thinking I my have made the wrong decision with regards the type of phone case I needed. The case I’ve got allows the handset to slide in from the top and has a flap hinged at the top. Why might this case not be for me and what are the alternatives?
Well first let’s discuss the other type of case that exists. The obvious choice if I didn’t already have a case would be the more popular ‘back sleeve’. The rubber textured shaped panel that goes on the back.
It has a camera hole
It has a front cover (which would take the brunt of any frontal impact).
It is black suede and now is looking worn (which I like).
I like the feel of the handset with no case and this case allows me to
remove it with no fuss. And put it back in again with no fuss.
The corners are slightly exposed.
I need to remove the phone to take a picture due to the hole positioning.
It feels weird to type letters at the edge of the keyboard due to the stitching. But not any more difficult.
Some games are arkward tilted horizontally with the flap in the way of your fingers.
So as I prepare to venture into town giving me an ideal opportunity to buy a new case I read back on the above and have made a decision. I’m happy with the case I have. It serves it’s purpose and only when it fails to meet my iPhone case needs shall I consider a new one. At the minute I kind of like the idea of having cutting edge technology encased in something not too dissimilar to animal skin. A kind of future meets past unit. And that ultimately is what sways my decision to use what I originally chose.
Job done.
