There are many quality bands out there making rocking music but what if like a fantasy football league there existed a fantasy metal band league and the aim was to have all the elements that make a classic record/album. Well that is exactly what I’m about to make up. I have eliminated 3 bands from the get go because we’re talking heavy rock and they just miss the mark in that sense. They are The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix Experience & Queen. All 3 are great bands but I must be strict and fair.
So, who would be in this band?

First we need to establish what instruments are to played in this band and what positions need filling. So like the classic 4 4 2 I think I’m going with vocals, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass & drums. So when selecting my shortlist, as well as been able to play the instrument well. We must also consider whether each member can pen a tune.

I will shortlist 5 names for my band and each name could easily fill the open position. Only one of the five however will make the grade. All will be revealed at the end ….!!

Lets start with vocals:

OK. Rhythm guitar….An awkward choice given some of these guitarists sing as well but here’s the list:
